
Congratulations on completing one year of parenthood!
This is a significant milestone for you as well as for your baby. Throughout his first year, your baby has developed his hearing and vision abilities, and he’s developing his language and problem-solving skills now, too. So, your baby is understanding things much more than you think.
Your baby is learning every day just by watching your every move and picking it up. He learns from the way people treat him and from what he sees, hears, and experiences. There are a lot of Things to Teach A 1-Year-Old Baby at this age.
So, for better learning of your baby, avoid distractions, such as cell phones, TV, or games.
At one year, your baby’s brain is dynamic and adaptable. So, it would help if you focused on teaching him the essential things.

1. Teaching New Words
The language skills of your one-year-old are growing by leaps and bounds. He is picking up new words from his surroundings. Your baby is probably saying one or two words like Mama, Baba. So, to boost the language skills of your baby, you can teach him new words.
Tell him about body parts by pointing on his body. Then ask him at other times of the day. Where is your chin? Gradually, your baby will develop an idea about his body parts.
Also, teach him to respond to his name by frequently calling him. You need to be consistent in teaching new words to your baby so that he picks up the new concepts quickly.
2. Teaching him manners
Now, it’s time to bring your baby’s high chair to the dinner table. Ask him to pass the spoon and also say thanks for giving the spoon. Use the words “please” and “thanks” frequently. If your baby uses the word please or thanks appreciate him.

3. Teaching Colors
Everything your baby touches possesses a color. So, you don’t need any gadgets to teach him colors. Make colors a part of your conversation. When you dress up your baby, say, my baby is looking cute in this blue shirt. Also, point out the things in the surroundings of your baby. Show him the blue sky, the green grass, the white clouds.
4. Puzzle Solving
Puzzles are essential for developing so many skills! They improve hand-eye coordination. When your baby tries to solve the problem, problem-solving skills are developed. And also, there is a sense of achievement when he completes the puzzle. Puzzle-solving is the best thing you can teach to your 1-year old baby.
5. Make him learn to be independant
Your little one is probably trying to do things on his own by now. He is going to hold a spoon, pen, or other items. Allow him to do these things on his own! This is the only way your baby will learn something new. So, allow him to study, perceive, and make mistakes.
